Social Media Strategist
During my senior year, I became part of the social media team for The Current. Through this position I collaborated with other staff members and helped create campaigns and posts to promote articles.
Web Manager
For half of my time with The Current I was able to take on the role of the web manager. This position gave me experience with using WordPress and how to increase SEO for our publication.
Editor-in-Chief
Also during my senior year at Michigan State, I was able to become the editor-in-chief for this publication. This meant overseeing dates, scheduling of articles and checking AP and house style for each article before being published.
Writer
I have had the experience of not only being part of The Current publication for over a year, but also being a writer. I have published over 20 articles through my time with this publication at Michigan State University. To view some of my highlighted articles, check out my writing portfolio.
